This five-week shimmy series dives deep into one of the most iconic and expressive elements of FCBD®Style—the shimmy. Whether your shimmy is brand new, a little shy, or already strong and ready to level up, this series will help you find clarity, confidence, and endurance in your movement.
Each week, we’ll explore the building blocks of a relaxed, sustainable shimmy: posture, breath, grounding, strength and balance. You’ll learn how to create shimmies that are supple and extra bouncy while still feeling organic and effortless.
We’ll practice shimmies in place, traveling, layered with steps, and integrated into classic FCBD®Style vocabulary—giving you both the technique and the musical awareness to use your shimmy with power and intention.
